The front fascia is fitted with a weather proof flap that opens out to insure that no rainwater gets into the actual box (unless the kids stick the hose in there) We send these boxes out completely assembled, so once you have the hole cut in the wall, Installation is a breeze, just slide in from the front and screw the internal side screws out locking the box in place. See here for full installation instructions. INSTALLATION
The actual box has the lockable rear door integrated into it. For added security the lock has 200 key combinations, that makes the possibility of another key fitting your lock extremely rare. So even though we supply the lock with 2 keys, we advise customers that it is a wise move to get a couple more keys cut, as we are not able to supply extra keys if your originals get lost. Surprisingly most mass produced letterboxes come with only 6 key combinations for their locks. Allowing this sort of thing to happen, Mail box theft.
Its all about keeping your mail dry, why would you buy a letterbox if it didn’t do that?, The added benefit with BoBject’s letterboxes is they also add more style and features to your home, and did we remember to tell you that they don’t rust 🙂
We can make the boxes deeper for deeper columns, but we cannot make them shallower as they are designed as per Australia Posts guidelines and to fit an A4 envelope all the way in without hanging out the front of the flap. Australia Post Guide for Letterboxes
